TOTAL2 represents the aggregate market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies excluding Bitcoin, calculated as the sum of price multiplied by circulating supply for each constituent asset. On Paragon (HIP-3), the index is priced via Pyth Network oracle feeds with daily constituent rebalancing and sub-second price updates. The fallback oracle uses a weighted median across eight exchanges. TOTAL2 trades 24/7/365 and provides a single instrument for expressing directional views on the altcoin market as a whole, independent of Bitcoin's price action. Traders use it to capture broad altcoin momentum — going long during bullish altcoin sentiment or shorting during periods of capital flight back into Bitcoin or stablecoins.
