USA500 on Dreamcash is a USDT-margined, USDT-settled U.S. equity index perpetual that references a Pyth feed tied to a dated equity-index futures contract rather than a direct cash-index spot print. Dreamcash converts that futures quote into an implied spot-style oracle using a cost-of-carry model, with a published discount-rate assumption for the US500 family. During regular external sessions it uses those external pricing inputs; during the daily break and weekend off-hours it switches to internal smoothed pricing. That makes the market's defining feature its futures-to-spot oracle construction and session schedule, not a generic S&P 500 description.
